The Scientist - Whaling

v/o The Japanese Scientific Whaling Commission presents...science and whales

Scientist: (talking to himself) There is nothing wrong with whaling. Whaling is good....oh hello there I was just saying some true facts to myself, unaware you were observing me. Hello, I'm a scientist. How can you tell? Well by using observation. I told you I'm a scientist and you observed me telling you that....now lets move on.

Whaling. Lets start with some facts - whaling involves the pursuit of whales, the catching of whales and it's very good for everyone in the world, those are some obvious things we can all agree on. However some people doubt that whaling is actually scientific. In fact some people have done studies into whaling and it's supposed harm on whalesm and there are their results. Let's observe those results. Hmm..Hmm...well from where I'm standing the results are inconclusive.

We probably should go straight to the source, let's ask science for some answers. Hello science:

(v/o) Science: Hello there.

Scientist: Hello to you too. Again. What do you say about whaling science?

Science: Whaling? You mean that fun pass-time that hurts no-one? By the way I love your coat.

Scientist: Thanks science your swell. Now if you wont take sciences word for it, lets do an experiment. Let’s say this bowl full of water is the ocean, and these toy whales…are whales. You notice that when we take these heavy, and mean, animals out of the water,  sea level goes down. Now maybe whales want to see global warming raise sea level and destroy people’s but, but gee willikers I don’t and neither do Japanese persons.

Now that we’ve got those animals out of the water where are we going to put them? . Hmm this is the only free space I can see. Wow that bed of rice looks good enough to sleep in. Those lucky whales. With sea levels down you can sleep tight…and so can the whales. Thanks science.
